News Clip | March 2020

Back in March 2020, Coronavirus changed the way we greet each other overnight. Gone were the high-fives, handshakes and fist bumps. In with the ‘elbow bump’.

Five billion Emojis are sent daily on Facebook Messenger alone. The handshake, fist bump and high-five emojis quick came yesterday’s online greeting – we needed an emoji that tells our story.

Ironically for an emoji about stopping viral spread , the elbow emoji itself 'went viral' with an article in Wired, a mention in Quartz’s Daily Brief and a tweet from car manufacturer Opel.
