We instantly recognise the brand and we can recite the slogan, but it is the fonts behind the words that are the unsung heroes. We live surrounded by typefaces, but for most people, even the most ubiquitous fonts remain hidden in plain sight. I wanted to create a project that showcased these supporting characters, but do so in a way that was accessible to a non-designer audience.
The result was a series of twenty-six vignettes which I created from concept to execution, including all design, animation, photography/video, and editing. These were published as a content series over the course of twenty-six days on my Instagram feed.
